The piece was made for the exhibition Chroma curated by Marie Nerland/VOLT and took Derek Jarman’s book Chroma: a book on color as a point of departure. The piece evolved through studio experiments with ropes and sticks and is inspired by Derek Jarman´s associative relationship to color and by instructions on rope splicing from The Ashley Book of Knots by Clifford W. Ashley.
