Commissioned by Statens Vegvesen for a new, public square in Førde, Norway.
The artwork makes visible how the shifting water surface relates to the Norwegian Mapping Authority’s sea level reference points, average measurements, and the UN Climate Panel’s projections for where these levels are expected to be in the future. The project was developed in dialogue with sea level scientist Kristin Richter in NORCE and presented during the Bergen Municipality’s One Ocean Week session ´Sea level rise in European cities – living with/against the ocean’.
