Custom made interior
Stained, painted and laminated poplar and spruce
The interior was developed through an exploration of parametric design and the Bézier curve as part of the artistic research PhD project Unmaking Abstractions. Commissioned by Entrée, the project transformed the gallery from a white cube into a space for social and discursive art projects throughout 2021 and 2022. The shelving and furniture were designed as a flexible modular system that could be continuously rearranged by users to accommodate workshops, lectures, presentations, books, and other activities. The images shown are from various exhibitions and events held in the space over the course of the project period.
