1985 born in Ulsteinvik Norway, lives and works in Bergen Norway
I am a visual artist and researcher working with sculpture and art in public space. My practice explores the relationship between lived, sensory experience and the abstract systems through which knowledge is organised, particularly within science, mathematics, and technology. I am interested in how these abstractions shape creative processes, object-making, and perception.
My artistic research PhD, Unmaking Abstractions, examines abstraction in 3D modelling, while the ongoing research project Forms of Creativity (co-led with Gabriele de Seta) investigates how AI influences material practices in sculpture and craft. I am interested in how creative work develops, and in building resources, expertise, and infrastructure that support artistic production. In 2018 I co-founded Aldea Center for Contemporary Art, Design and Technology together with Cameron MacLeod, and I am currently engaged by Sunnfjord Kommune as art consultant for Førdepakken.
